Semi-aniline leather is aniline leather type but with one difference‚ Äì it is covered with a thin layer of pigments that do not hide the pores and the patterns on the surface, but instead make them less distinct. 

Top-grain leather that has been sanded or buffed on the grain side, or outside, to give a slight nap of short protein fibers, producing a velvet-like surface.

Full grain leather is the highest quality, most expensive, and longest lasting grade of leather. It comes from the top layer of an animal’s hide and retains the skin’s natural markings and texture without sanding or processing to remove imperfections.
